New Product Development Coordinator

Zuita Daly is SBC’s New Product Development Co-ordinator, sampling, sniffing and testing our exciting new products! What a job eh?

Tell us a bit about yourself Zuita?

I am married to Derek and we live in a village on the outskirts of Ipswich with our dog, Jazmyn, and Mabel the cat.

After a long career as a PA for a large corporate organisation, I decided to step out of that world and take a break for a while to establish a better work/life balance.

However, the opportunity came along to work locally for SBC as PA to the Director on a maternity cover contract and I haven’t looked back since. 18 months later, I now work as New Product Development Co-ordinator.

I love cooking and I’m always trying to recreate different dishes from around the world in the comfort of my own home.  I am also very passionate about skiing and cannot wait for the next season to start!

What’s your area of expertise?

A little bit of everything really, you have to be a ‘jack of all trades’ when you work as a PA, as you never know what is going to be thrown at you next.  I do particularly enjoy organising events and travel as I love the sense of achievement it brings when everything comes together and has gone well.

Do you have a personal beauty tip to share?

Drink plenty of water; it really does make a difference.

What is your favourite SBC product?

I love all of the SBC Bath & Shower products but my ultimate favourite has to be the Collagen 3in1 Cleanser.  I am very sensitive around my eyes and struggle to find a product to take off my eye make-up.  This product is amazing, it cleanses, exfoliates and removes make-up all at once!

Do you have a real beauty no-no or bug bear?

Lipstick on your front teeth.  My Nan always taught me to apply lipstick and then place your index finger in your mouth (ensuring it is clean of course!) and pull it out again slowly.  Any excess lipstick will then rub off onto your finger which will stop it appearing on your teeth later.

What goes on in your average day at SBC?

No day is ever the same and there are never enough hours in the day.  However much as you try to plan your To Do List, it often all goes out of the window.  I wouldn’t have it any other way though and work with a great team who all support each other.

Desert Island Disc?

My husband used to be a DJ when he was younger so I have learnt to enjoy all types of music.  I do, however, love The Carpenters and Carole King, so these would have to be on my list.

Last meal?

Roast beef and all the trimmings, including cauliflower cheese – they go so well together!

SBC is based in Suffolk, what is your favourite Suffolk spot?

Blimey, there are so many to choose from, but I love being near the sea and the area around Minsmere Nature Reserve is just perfect for a stroll.

Describe your perfect day?

A beautiful, sunny yet snowy day in the mountains, without a cloud in the sky.  Skiing in the morning with my family and then lunch sitting outside in the sunshine, then followed by a snowy walk in the afternoon and a cosy evening in front of the fire - bliss.
