ClaireSBC Global TV Sales Manager
Tell us a bit about yourself Claire?
I’m the SBC Global TV Sales Manager, which means I am the central liaison for all matters regarding QVC in UK, Italy, Germany & now France! I’m a mum of 2 sporty little boys and am originally from Portsmouth, and very proud of my family’s naval heritage.
I studied at Portsmouth University, and spent one year at the National University of Mexico in Mexico City. I speak fluent Spanish, got the travel bug from living abroad, and was a holiday rep with Thomas Cook, working in Spanish speaking countries for 10 years. This gave me the opportunity to have 3 months off to go backpacking on my own or with friends each year. I spent my last 5 years as Overseas Manager for Mexico and met my husband when he was on holiday. We had a holiday romance which was 13 years ago!
What’s your area of expertise?
Relationship management and organisation. I am a born organiser, some might call it bossy!
Do you have a personal beauty tip to share?
It’s very boring but you can’t go wrong getting plenty of sleep and drinking lots of water.
I think genetics plays a huge role and I have been very lucky with my skin which makes me very lazy. However, over the last year I have had allergic eczema which has highlighted the importance of moisturising my body every day and not letting my skin dry out, which can make skin sore.
What is your favourite SBC product?
Do you have a real beauty no-no or bug bear?
I really don’t like foundation that doesn’t match skin tone – and when it’s not blended past the chin!
What goes on in your average day at SBC?
No day is the same. There are not enough hours in the day to get everything done! I’m always on the phone, on email, in meetings or travelling to our QVC partners., which is definitely not as glamourous as it sounds!
Desert Island Disc?
I have very eclectic taste, but I do love The Cure – Friday I’m in Love!
Steak & Frites!!!
SBC is based in Suffolk, what is your favourite Suffolk spot?
On the beach just in front of my house – early morning summer has started but no-one is on holiday yet, and the beach is empty & the sea is calm as a millpond.
Describe your perfect day?
The sun is shining and I’m out and about with my family – it doesn’t really get better than that!
