Social Media & Marketing Assistant
Carly Adams is our superb Social Media & Marketing Assistant. Always a breath of fresh air, Carly has contact with our customers and fans of SBC over social media and helps them with any queries, creates fabulous competitions and generally keeps them up-do-date with SBC goings on…

Tell us a bit about yourself Carly?
I was born in Ipswich, Suffolk and after I left school I decided to go straight out to work where I completed a business administration apprenticeship at Suffolk County Council. I joined SBC 2 years ago in the Customer Care department. I then made my way into the Marketing department nearly 3 months ago and I absolutely love it! I brought my first house in Ipswich nearly 4 years ago, and have slowly been renovating it. At weekends you will find me either at home, or spending time with my family & friends.

What’s your area of expertise?
I love social media and talking to our customers, so my job role provides me with the best of both worlds really. Happy Days!

Do you have a personal beauty tip to share?
A lot of people only cleanse, tone and moisturise in the evening (I used to be one of these) make sure you do this in the mornings also.

What is your favourite SBC product?
I absolutely love the Vitamin ACE Day & Night Cream, I couldn’t be without it!

Do you have a real beauty no-no or bug bear?
People who go to bed without taking their make-up off, it makes me cringe!

What goes on in your average day at SBC?
I absolutely love my job as I get to spend the majority of my day on social media. I post all content on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages and action any urgent questions and requests. I update sections of the SBC website, answer any calls that come into the marketing department, deal with any emails from accounts regarding social media. I also get to stay in London when we feature on QVC UK, which is always fun but very tiring. I sit and watch Adele in the green room, but answer any queries that the customers have on social media. I also make a good cuppa tea for myself and the rest of the marketing team.

Desert Island Disc?
Oh this is really hard because I love loads of different types of music… It would have to be Bon Jovi though if I had to listen to it forever!

Last meal?
It would have to be a roast dinner, I absolutely love them

SBC is based in Suffolk, what is your favourite Suffolk spot?
The beach. So on a nice hot day you will find me at Walberswick catching the rays, then stopping for Fish & Chips on the way home at Aldebrugh.

Describe your perfect day?
On a winters day there is nothing better than when it’s raining outside and you’re all snuggled up on the sofa with a roast dinner cooking, perfection.
